ADNOC Prequalification Simplified: SPC Expands Approval to All Branches

The Supreme Petroleum Council (SPC) has recently introduced an important update to its approval process for ADNOC prequalification—bringing welcome changes for businesses across the UAE.

Previously, SPC approval was granted only to Limited Liability Companies (LLCs) registered in UAE. This meant that branches—whether located in UAE were not eligible to apply. As a result, many businesses had to establish a separate LLC in UAE just to qualify. The new update changes this. SPC has now extended approval eligibility to all branches across in UAE, allowing them to complete ADNOC prequalification without the need to set up an UAE LLC

Why It Matters

This update opens new doors for businesses:

  • Wider access – Branches in UAE can now bid for ADNOC projects.
  • Faster entry – No need to establish a new LLC in UAE.
  • Equal footing – Companies from Dubai, Sharjah, and other Emirates can now compete fairly with UAE firms.
